Spa Gazebo

A decorative outdoor enclosure for a spa, Jacuzzi or hot tub is known as ‘spa gazebo’. It is a hexagonal, rectangular or square structure with domed roof, large open windows and an archway rather than a door. The standard spa gazebos range from 8-20 feet in diameter but these can be much larger also.

The traditional spa gazebos are made of red cedar and have single or two tiered roofs in a Victorian style. Their structures are very attractive; many people use them as garden pavilions placing benches or other furniture inside instead of a spa. However, a traditional spa gazebo is an open structure while there are also closed gazebos featuring Plexiglas windows that either slide or swing open, skylights and single or double French doors.

These gazebos are the perfect for all seasons and are also sometimes used as garden studios or workshops in place of a spa house. A cedar spa gazebo may or may not come with a floor. Many are also designed to install on the lip of the spa, especially handy when the spa is already sitting on an outside deck. The gazebo brim extends the lip of spa and the walls rise from there. The spa gazebo may also have sliding doors and bronzed acrylic windows for privacy.

There are really good options other than cedar, like an open design, bamboo spa gazebo. However less durable than cedar, the bamboo spa gazebos add a tropical flair to the garden, and are also less expensive than cedar and are easy to assemble. Keep in mind that most bamboo spa gazebos do not include floor.

White PVC vinyl is another alternate for spa gazebos. Their structures look new and are maintenance free. Their contrasting roofs are also available in other colors, but a vinyl spa gazebo does not feature a floor.
